A-Level Mathematics Paper Leak in Karachi
Cambridge Paper Leaked Online
Cambridge International Education confirmed that AS-Level Mathematics Paper 52 (9709), conducted on 12 May for administrative zones three and four, was leaked online before the exam began. According to many students, the same questions had already appeared on social media platforms one day earlier. As a result, students quickly raised complaints after completing the paper.
Moreover, screenshots of solved questions circulated widely across WhatsApp groups and other online platforms.

Cambridge Exam Postponed
Following the controversy, Cambridge immediately postponed AS-Level Mathematics Paper 32 (9709), which was originally scheduled for 15 May in Pakistan. Instead of continuing with the planned paper, the board decided to prepare a replacement exam to protect fairness for all candidates.
Furthermore, Cambridge announced that the new exam date will confirmed before 22 May within the same June examination series. However, the board clarified that AS and A-Level results would still released on 11 August as previously scheduled.
Cambridge Response
In its official statement, Cambridge explained that the paper shared “prematurely against strict regulations.”
Meanwhile, Uzma Yousuf stated that senior professionals carefully reviewed all available evidence before making decisions. She described the incident as an organised criminal activity designed to damage the credibility of examinations.
In addition, Cambridge confirmed that legal action will taken against anyone responsible for spreading leaked papers online.
Cambridge Earlier Leak Cases
This is not the first time Cambridge exams have faced leak allegations during the current session. Earlier, another AS-Level Mathematics paper held on 29 April also came under investigation after similar claims surfaced online.
A-Level Mathematics Paper Leak in Karach
After completing a detailed review, Cambridge accepted that the earlier concerns were valid. Consequently, the board scheduled a replacement paper for 9 June.
During this session Cambridge has faced 3rd paper leakage incident. Few days ago AS-Level Business studies paper also leaked.

Many students have expressed frustration because exam postponements disrupt preparation schedules and increase mental pressure because this is the third time of this session.
